Khalifa, Maktoum send cables to Bangladesh

Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a congratulatory cable to President Iajuddin Ahmad of Bangladesh on his country's victory day. His Highness Shaikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has also sent a similar cable to the leader of Bangladesh.

Independence Greetings sent to Kazakhstan

Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, have sent congratulatory cables to President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan on his country's independence day.

Sultan sends letter to Hamad

Sharjah: His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, yesterday send a letter to His Majesty King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa of Bahrain on the occasion of his country's national day. Shaikh Ahmad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Sharjah's Deputy Ruler, and Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Sharjah's Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler, also sent similar messages to the Bahrain King and to Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa. They also sent a message to Shaikh Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Bahraini Crown Prince.

Opening of Naturopathic medicine college

Dubai: A college of naturopathic medicine has opened at Knowledge Village to train nutritionists. The Naturopathic Nutrition course teaches students about the physiological and biochemical processes involved in nourishment, but also about the energetic side of food. Hermann Keppler, the founder of the college of naturopathic medicine said the course brings together traditional and contemporary methods of natural medicine. He said, "Thousands of years ago, master healers in China perceived a way to classify food and disease according to simple, easily observed patterns."
