Man suffocates while asleep in parked car

The deceased did not leave room to breathe, and this led to his death from suffocation

Ras Al Khaimah: The RAK Police attributed the death of a 33-year-old Emirati to suffocation, as the man died in his own car which he parked on the shoulder of the street and went into deep sleep.

Major Hamad Al Dibany, Chief of the General Intelligence at the RAK Police, said that the victim died from suffocation, adding that the victim turned off his car and went in deep sleep. He stressed that the car was found turned off on the shoulder of a street in the emirate.

Major Al Dibany said that the deceased who was found dead in his car decided to take a break to restore his energy.

He said that the victim pulled over at 3am and turned his vehicle off.

The deceased did not leave room to breathe, and this led to his death from suffocation.

Major Al Dibany said that the dead body showed no signs of violence.

Additionally, initial investigations and autopsy preformed on the body indicated that the cause of the death is out of the natural causes and that there have been no signs of resistance. He added that police investigations are still under way.
