Keeping out curious cats in Abu Dhabi

Felines trapped in electrical substations create a nuisance

Would the concerned authorities in Abu Dhabi please consider making the steel gates for their electrical substations ‘cat-proof'?

We have several of these substations in the Sas Al Nakheel compound and cats regularly tend to get trapped in them. It results in night-long disturbances of cats crying, not to mention the cruel way in which they cannot find a way out.

Making the steel gates cat-proof is rather easy and cheap. It could be achieved by installing a wire mesh from the inside.

Up to one metre would be sufficient, or the height of the steel plates could be increased accordingly.

I look forward to the cooperation of the relevant authorities.
