Housing aid valued at Dh175m approved

Dubai: The Zayed Housing Programme has approved the names of 375 Emiratis eligible for housing aid in March that’s valued at Dh175 million.

The aid will be distributed as loans and grants. Loans will be provided to beneficiaries with salaries higher than Dh10,000, who are capable of repaying the loan, and grants will be distributed to beneficiaries with salaries lower than Dh10,000.

The aid was approved under the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The approval was made during ZHP’’s board of directors’ meeting yesterday chaired by Dr Abdullah Bel Haif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Public Works and Chairman of ZHP.

The programme pointed out that it has launched a number of initiatives, such as signing partnership agreements with almost 100 companies that provide construction materials. It said that beneficiaries can receive up to a 50 per cent discount on these materials.
