Ministry 'will focus on the issue'

Dubai: No investigation on health risks related to mobile phone masts has been conducted by the health authorities so far, said the Health Minister.

Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Qutami, Minister of Health, told Gulf News no research has yet been done on health risks caused by residents' proximity to mobile phone transmission towers. "No information has been reviewed regarding mobile phone masts yet, but the ministry is intending to focus on the issue," said Al Qutami. The ministry will definitely look into research done abroad, in countries like the UK, he said.
