Hamdan opens global dental conference

Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler, Minister of Finance and the President of the Dubai Health Authority, yesterday inaugurated the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition AEEDC 2008 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The three-day event is attended by more than 20,000 dentists from 113 countries and 650 companies representing 40 countries.

In his opening speech, Shaikh Hamdan urged participants to double scientific and research efforts to provide the best preventive measures and treatments, a target which he said the Dubai Health Authority and the Ministry of Health seek to achieve.

The conference is the largest scientific event as it attracts annually thousands of doctors, professional, exhibitors and visitors.

Its benefits are reflecting on the health sector as well as the entire economic and social spectrum.
