Hamdan opens Dh100m Garhoud Hospital

Gives go-ahead for Mirdif Private Hospital project

Dubai : Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, yesterday inaugurated Garhoud Hospital, which was completed at a total cost of Dh100 million and occupies a space of 150,000 square metres.

After the official inauguration, Shaikh Hamdan toured the hospital's various wings, and sections affiliated to Crescent Health Solutions (CHS).

Shaikh Hamdan was briefed by officials in charge about the hospital's specialisations that includes cardiovascular diseases, general surgery, endoscope, internal medicine, diabetes treatment, endocrinology, and others.

He along with other officials toured the emergency section and visited the radiology and pathology sections. He then viewed a blueprint of the Mirdif Private Hospital carried out by CHS.

The hospital will have a capacity of 100 beds and will be equipped with complementary medical facilities.

Shaikh Hamdan gave his go-ahead for the project, and stressed the important role of health care institutions in societies.

Also present were Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman and Executive Director of Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA); Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of Dubai Municipality; Sami Dhaen Al Qumzi, Director of Dubai's Department of Economic Development; Qadi Saeed Murooshid, Director General of Dubai Health Authority (DHA); and other senior officials.
