Crown Prince of Dubai opens Al Tadawi Medical Centre in Dubai

Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, unveiled the plaque of Al Tadawi Medical Centre in Dubai yesterday.

The medical centre, built with total investments of Dh27 million, comprises nine specialised clinics equipped with state-of-art medical equipment, to provide the highest standards of medical diagnosis and treatment.

Shaikh Hamdan toured the centre’s facilities and sections where he was briefed by Dr Abdul Qader Al Khayyat, owner of the centre, on each section, the medical equipment, types of health care and treatment provided to patients.

He was accompanied by Shaikh Saeed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Chief of Dubai Police, Essam Eisa Al Humaidan, Dubai’s Attorney-General, Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, Director of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality, Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Qamzi, Eisa Mohammad Al Maidour, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority, and Major General Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Commander in Chief of Dubai Civil Defence.

He visited the X-ray, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and CT scan rooms, before visiting the dermatology section, which is equipped with the latest equipment for the early detection of breast cancer. Shaikh Hamdan viewed the fat-dissolving machine, which is used for the first time in Dubai and is the fifth Italian device available in hospitals across the country.

Shaikh Hamdan also inspected the spyglass and dental departments and child consultation, laboratory, physiotherapy room and room preparation for surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology where he listened to presentations on the scientific and medical competence of each section and therapeutic services provided to patients.

He praised the high quality of the centre and expressed his satisfaction at the opening of this new centre, and encouraged the private sector to invest in the health care field.
