Special flight from Thailand lands in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: A special flight from Bangkok arrived here early on Sunday morning with 216 Emiratis stranded there.

According to the Under Secretary of UAE Foreign Affairs, Saif Sultan Al Arian,"550 Emiratis have totally registered at the UAE Embassy in Bangkok to return home."

The first batch of passengers that have arrived comprised primarily the sick and the elderly. The second flight will be for families and the third for individuals.

These flights were ordered by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to fly UAE citizens stranded there.
