Security tops UAE list of priorities

Al Ain: Security is the UAE's top priority and constitutes the real protection of achievements and the guarantee for sustainability in an unstable regional and international climate, stressed General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the 32nd batch of officer cadets from Zayed II Military College in Al Ain City, Shaikh Mohammad said the UAE Armed Forces have made many achievements in training, organisation and armament thanks to the support of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Capabilities

The UAE Armed Forces, he added, are developing their capabilities, military experience and skills according to the latest in military science as well as achieve comprehensive security and cope with changes, emerging traditional and non-traditional challenges such as terrorism and illegal immigration and dual-use materials.

"The UAE Armed Forces have also been actively participating in the building of the nation, development, as well as in the preparation of citizens," Shaikh Mohammad said.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, which was attended by Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior, Shaikh Mohammad presented certificates of appreciation to the top achievers.
