Preparations on for National Day

Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Society Development is encouraging people to decorate their homes with the UAE flag on the occasion of National Day which falls on December 2.

The campaign encourages people to raise the UAE flag on all government buildings, private and residential establishments.

Afra Al Sabeiri, Executive Director of Services and Support Department in the ministry, told Gulf News: "We want people to feel proud of the flag and keep it high for ever." The campaign is in line with the ministry's strategy to preserve national identity.

Al Sabeiri asked participants to decorate their areas in a creative way and send their photos to the campaign's website, www.uaeflag.net, saying there are prizes to be won.
