Mohammad holds talks with South Korea president

Lee Myung-bak reiterates keenness to boost bilateral relations

Abu Dhabi: General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met with South Korean President Lee Myung-bak at the Emirates Palace yesterday.

Shaikh Mohammad greeted the Korean President who is on a visit to the region, in the presence of Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister.

Shaikh Mohammad stressed the keenness of the UAE under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to enhance cooperation and joint work between the two countries towards their mutual benefit.

Model relations

Shaikh Mohammad wished the friendly country's people prosperity and development.

He also pointed out the distinguished friendly relations between the two countries which witnessed great developments over the years as a result of the backing and support of the two countries' leaderships, and he also added that the relations between the UAE and South Korea are considered a model for strategic partnerships which enhance constructive cooperation for the good and benefit of the two countries and their people.

On his part, the South Korean president extended his greetings and best wishes to Shaikh Khalifa, and he reiterated his country's keenness to boost bilateral relations.

He also expressed his wish to meeting Shaikh Mohammad in South Korea at the Nuclear Security Convention to be hosted by his country this coming March.
