Leaders receive more condolences

Dubai: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday received more leaders and dignitaries who came to offer condolences on the death of Shaikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Shaikh Khalifa and Shaikh Mohammad received His Majesty King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and President Hosni Muba-rak of Egypt, who expressed their sadness at Shaikh Maktoum's death and praised his achievements.

Among other world dignitaries received by Shaikh Mohammad were Indian Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat; Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najeeb Tun Razak and French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-blazy.

UN secretary-general Kofi Annan also expressed his grief at the loss.
