Khalifa revamps security council

Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued federal decree No 101 for 2009 appointing Saif Sultan Mubarak Al Aryani as Secretary-General for the Supreme Council for National Security, in grade of minister, with effect from December 1.

The decree stated that the National Security Adviser will implement this decree, which is effective from the date of issuance. Shaikh Khalifa also issued federal decree No 102 for 2009 transferring employees to the council.

According to the decree, Lieutenant General Saeed Eid Saeed Al Ghafli was transferred to the council and appointed director of the office of the National Security Adviser with the rank of ministerial undersecretary. Lieutenant General Mohammad Hayai Al Hameli has been appointed as adviser with the rank of ministerial undersecretary. Both appointments are , effective from December 3.

Shaikh Khalifa has received a memento from the UN Relief and Work Agency in recognition of his role in supporting the activities of UN charity and humanitarian organisations and the role of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Charity Foundation in helping Pakistani refugees.
