Impressive military show staged at Al Mamzar beach

Programme attended by dignitaries and students from across Dubai

Dubai: The UAE Armed Forces yesterday held a show in Al Mamzar as part of its celebratory activities marking the UAE's 40th National Day anniversary.

Shaikh Ahmad Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, attended the show.

The show was also watched by 1,500 students from various schools across Dubai.

The show began with an airshow presented by seven UAE Air Forces aircraft, followed by a military land show that used and showed the mobile capabilities of tanks and military vehicles.

Later, Shaikh Ahmad toured a gallery that accompanied the activities. The gallery included photographs that documented the achievements of the UAE Armed Forces and its participation in various international events.

Shaikh Ahmad was also briefed by the organisers on military units used by the UAE Land, Air and Air Defence Forces, as well as on the Presidential Guard and Medical Services Guard.

At the conclusion of the tour, Major General Staff Pilot Mohammad Bin Suweidan Saeed Al Qumzi, the UAE Air Force and Air Defence Commander, presented Shaikh Ahmad with a souvenir.

  • December 3 Fujairah Corniche from 10am to 8pm.
