FNC sends draft law for reconsideration

Abu Dhabi: The eighth session of the Federal National Council (FNC) concluded successfully with positive discussions on the federal draft law regarding the Federal Environmental Agency. Dr Anwar Mohammad Gargash, Minister of State for FNC Affairs, stressed the importance of establishing a process of cooperation and mutual understanding between FNC and government. The discussion ended with FNC deciding to resend the previously rejected draft law to a specialised committee for reconsideration.

Accident: Man burnt to death after car crash

Dubai: A man was killed after he lost control over his car, which overturned near the Arabian Ranches yesterday. The unidentified motorist was reportedly speeding and was burnt to death. The incident occurred around 7am.

Transportation: Call for better vehicles for workers

Ras Al Khaimah: Scores of local public departments here have received official note from the Traffic and Licensing Department to provide their labourers with better and safer transportation. A senior officer at the Traffic and Licensing Department said some of the local departments merely provided trucks.
