Sharjah: A fire broke out at a residential building in Sharjah early on Sunday, witnesses told Gulf News.
Residents of the Al Omraniya Building - Block B and its adjacent building located along Jamal Abdul Naser Street have been evacuated.
The fire is believed to have started from an apartment on the seventh floor of the building at around 3:45am.
There were no immediate reports of casualties.
Burning debris from a balcony fell on a car parked near the building, damaging the vehicle.
The civil defence team brought the fire under control within 30 minutes, witnesses said.
