Fatima: Elderly in UAE enjoy care from country's leadership
Istanbul: Old people in the UAE enjoy full care and appreciation from the country's leadership, in gratitude for their role in the service of their country, said Her Highness Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairperson of the UAE General Women's Union. The UAE issued many decisions regulating the care of elderly people, as a gesture to honour them, said Shaikha Fatima in a speech delivered by Mariam Al Roumi, Minister of Social Affairs, on her behalf at the Middle East Congress on Ageing, which is taking place in Istanbul.
Stage is set for childhood conference
Dubai: Under the auspices of Shaikha Hind Bint Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, The First Gulf Childhood conference will be held under the motto 'Childhood is a Joint Responsibility. Preparations have been completed for the event, which is scheduled to take place from March 19 to 21. Ameena Al Dabbous of Latifa Bint Mohammad Award for Childhood Creativity said the objective of the conference is to provide solutions to various issues of youngsters in Gulf countries.
