EU Commission delegation visits Human Rights Association

Dubai: A European Commission delegation visited the headquarters of the Emirates Human Rights Association in Al Rashidiya on Monday. It was briefed on the association’s efforts and role in spreading awareness of the culture of human rights among people. The delegation was also informed about the association’s activities and programmes and its active role in community service.

Mohammad Hussain Al Hammadi, Deputy Chairman of the association, met the delegation which included Adam Kolach, Ambassador of the European Commission, the head of the EU mission to Saudi Arabia, and European Commission’s adviser in Saudi Arabia.

Ambassador Kolach praised UAE efforts in protecting human rights, describing the human rights situation as “very positive”.
