Pleasant days are here again as temperature across country dips
Al Ain: Residents in the UAE have started to enjoy pleasant weather as summer is slowly giving way to winter.
Though it is rather hot during daytime, with a rise in humidity in coastal areas, evenings are pleasant. Interior areas are even cooler with low humidity.
Temperature across the country has fallen below 40 degree Celsius, with maximum temperature hovering around 34 to 38 degree Celsius. At night, the temperature comes down to 20 degree Celsius.
The weather is under the influence of south-easterly and north-easterly winds. According to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), winds generally would be blowing at a speed of five to 10 knots, but could gain speed of 18 knots in the afternoon in some areas.
Winds could also kick up dust and sand in western and interior areas of the country.
Municipalities and gardens departments in the country have started new plantation at parks and gardens.
It could be hazy during night and early morning in some area, said an NCMS official.
Maximum humidity recorded in coastal areas is around 80 per cent and in desert areas, 60 per cent.
The maximum temperature on Wednesday was 38 degree Celsius in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. While Dubai recorded 37 degree Celsius, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain recorded 36 degree Celsius.
