Parade to mark Earth Hour in Dubai

Dubai: As many as 5,000 people are expected to take part in a Lantern Parade from 8pm to 9pm on Saturday to mark Earth Hour in Dubai.

The parade is scheduled to begin at the Burj Al Arab and will follow a two kilometre route along Beach Road to Jumeirah Beach Park and back to the Burj Al Arab.

Individuals and employees from government and private sector companies are expected to take part in the demonstration, which is organised by Dubai Holding and the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority.
