1,500 traffic accidents reported in Dubai so far

Dubai: 1,500 traffic accidents were reported in Dubai between Tuesday morning and 12pm on Wednesday, said the traffic department.

More than 40,000 calls, varying from issues about car breakdowns to water logging, were made to the emergency number 999 during the same period.

The traffic accidents were due to speeding, low visibility and not leaving enough space between vehicles, according to the traffic department.
