Dubai: Zayed University students have brought recognition to the Al Maktoum Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies.
"Zayed University (ZU) students' participation in an annual programme has brought a good reputation and credit to the institute before the [Scottish] authorities," Mirza Al Sayegh, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Scotland-based Al Maktoum Institute, said yesterday.
He spoke during the announcement of the fifth annual trip of a three-week academic training programme to Scotland.
The delegation will fly on Saturday to attend this year's programme, 'Multiculturalism and Leadership.
Dr Sulaiman Al Jasem, ZU's Director said 25 students representing ZU, Abu Dhabi University and Qatar University will participate in the programme.
Dr Al Jasem said the success of these trips reflects the cultural and academic awareness of Emirati students.
