Dubai: A transport company refusing to take pupils from school on the first day forced a school to close down for the next seven days.
The school will now re-open on September 7.
Saint Mary's Catholic School in Dubai was left in a lurch by the company SafeTrans, when they refused to collect pupils from the school on August 31.
Explanation
School authorities declined to comment, and have posted a detailed explanation on their website.
Pupils and parents who have registered for the transport services were asked to approach the school with original receipts for refunds. School authorities said they will try to solve the problem soon.
The school website said the previous transport company had agreed to re-register the pupils who were already registered with SafeTrans.
