Minister honours two UAE students for inventing solar chargers

Abu Dhabi: Dr Hanif Hassan, Minister of Education, honoured two students, Tareq Al Zubair and Mohammad Khalid Lootah, of Dubai International School for Arts and Science, for inventing a solar charger for mobile phones and laptops.

The new device, New Green Solar Charger that aims to save the environment, taps solar energy and can be charged in six hours. The students signed an agreement with a Chinese company to provide them with raw materials to manufacture their product.

Dr Hassan said: "UAE nationals do not only build their nation, but also enhance the development plan of their country in all fields."

The students expressed their gratitude for the support and encouragement of the Minister of Education.
