Abu Dhabi: Parents and pupils enrolled in schools in Abu Dhabi emirate have been urged by the Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec) to take part in an online satisfaction survey that aims to obtain their feedback on educational quality.

The survey, which is posted on Adec’s website, is divided into two parts. The first is geared to collect responses from parents of pupils enrolled in all public and private schools, while the second is for pupils enrolled in Grades 5 to 12 in public schools.

Dr Mugheer Al Khaili, Adec’s director general, said that the surveys are an important means to obtain parents’ and pupils’ feedback on education, and help identify the performance and areas of improvement for each school.

Dr Masoud Badri, executive director of research and planning at the Adec, said that survey responses would be used to guide future strategies and initiatives.

The pupils’ questionnaire aims to identify the degree of their satisfaction, the quality of services provided, areas of improvement, school environment and level of communication between parents and schools. The parents’ survey focuses on teaching, school improvements, means of communication, learning environment, school performance, and quality of education, school leader and teaching staff

The questionnaire can be completed within 15 minutes. Pupils and parents have also been provided with a unique username and password to participate in the survey, and full confidentiality for all answers will be ensured, the Adec statement added.
