Dubai launches human resources strategy

Dubai: The government of Dubai launched an eight-year human resources strategy to help reach the objectives of the Dubai Strategic Plan 2015.

Organised by Dubai Executive Council, the launch was attended by Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.

Outlining the scope of the strategy, Ahmad Bin Bayat, Secretary General of the Council, said: "Some of the priority areas inbuilt into the human resources strategy will include a strategic and forward-looking policy, promoting accountability and a result-based culture, ... enhancing responsiveness and customer service, and empowering and motivating public sector employees."

It was also announced that Dubai Institute for Human Resources Development and the Australian Institute for Human Resources has signed an agreement in the human resources field.

Government employees who qualified as the Graduates of the Professional Diploma in Human Resources were honoured following the launch of the human resources strategy.
