Dubai: The Dubai Cares charity fund was topped up with an additional Dh25 million yesterday as UAE businessman Majid Al Futtaim made a contribution that brought the total amount raised so far to Dh1.283 billion.
Meanwhile, the figures released by the schools this week regarding funds raised by students for the campaign have revealed a thorough and active commitment from the education sector, with one school raising close to Dh1 million alone.
The Indian High School in Dubai raised Dh850,000 while the New India Model School (NIMS) raised more than Dh500,000.
