Two men admit to having sex with visitor

Two men have admitted to having consensual sex with a female visitor who claimed she was kidnapped in Dubai and gang-raped in Umm Al Quwain, heard a court yesterday.

The Dubai Public Prosecution had charged the two UAE national men, 23-year-old unemployed, E.A., and 30-year-old employee, H.G., alongside their compatriot absconder, with kidnapping 35-year-old Iranian female, N.S., to UAQ and gang-raping her in a desert area.

The defendants denied their kidnap and rape charges yesterday and alleged before the Dubai Court of First Instance that she is a prostitute who agreed to have consensual sex with them.

The court reconvenes later this month to hear the victim's statement.
