Three-year-old found dead in pool of blood at home

Dubai: Dubai police are investigating the death of a three-and-a-half-year-old Indian girl — Nausha Khadeeja — who was found in a pool of blood along with her year-and-a-half-old sister Najiya Hamna lying next to her with severe wounds.
The incident took place on Tuesday at 5pm at their home in the Hor Al Anz area. The Indian family hails from Plakkad district in the south Indian state of Kerala.

Najiya is receiving treatment at Rashid Hospital and her situation is said to be critical.

The incident came to light when their mother called out to neighbours seeking help for her unwell children.

Eyewitnesses said the door of their house was open and the children were lying on their stomachs in a pool of blood. The neighbours called the police.

Their father was not at home. He is a computer engineer and was informed about the situation while he was on his way home from work.

A case has been registered by the police.
