Sharjah beach swimmers cautioned
Sharjah: Police are currently on high alert as residents flock to the beaches to keep themselves cool from the summer heat.
"There is a lack of public awareness when going to the beach, and it is important for beachgoers to know the weather beforehand so that accidents can be prevented," said Colonel Mohammad Eid Al Madhloum, Director of Sharjah Police operations room.
Col Mohammad said that the police rescue unit is on high alert as the number of accidents tend to rise during the summer months and all patrol units are taking preventive and precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the public.
