Security guard sleeping in the open ran over by a truck in Jebel Ali, Dubai

Dubai: A security guard of a company in Jebel Ali, Dubai, was run over by a truck early on Thursday, Dubai Police said.

The security guard was sleeping in the open on the sandy area by the roadside when the truck took a U-turn and ran over the victim, killing the man on the spot, said the police.

The truck driver sped off after the accident and the police are on the hunt for the driver.
