Police urged to involve universities
Dubai: Delegates and experts participating in the final session of the Seventh International Symposium for Best Police Practices recommended involving universities and schools to boost e-policing campaigns and to utilise the capabilities of students to clamp down on cyber crimes.
The fourth and final day of the symposium saw the top three exceptional police practices getting due recognition.
The United Kingdom's experience in policing football fans was adjudged the first prize winner while the Austrian expertise in organising security for Olympic events took second prize.
The neighbourhood policing skill of South Yorkshire police came in for the third prize.
