Gang who robbed Dh1m from Sharjah businessman nabbed

Sharjah: The CID arrested a gang of four who attacked a businessman and stole Dh1 million which he was carrying.

The Ehtiopian gang attacked the Chinese businessman after he withdrew money from a bank and had just arrived home.

On Tuesday afternoon, the man told police he withdrew $210,000 from a bank and then exchanged it into Dh1 million from a money exchange.

On arriving home, he got out from his car and was surprised to see another vehicle parked there. Two men beat him up, took the money and fled.

Police arrested three Ethiopians and found large amounts of money. The fourth accused who rented the car the suspects had used was later arrested.
