Abu Dhabi Police to unveil plan for next five years

Dubai: The Abu Dhabi Police strategic plan for the next five years will be unveiled on Tuesday.

The 2008-2012 plan was prepared by officials, police experts and strategic partners, including the public. Major Faisal Al Shuaibi, Head of the Strategic Development Section at the Abu Dhabi Police Strategic Management and Performance Development, said the plan set six priorities and six ultimate goals to be achieved in five years and other goals to be met in two years.

The Abu Dhabi police adopted the principle of partnership in drafting its strategic plan.

The plan will be unveiled at a press conference to be held on Tuesday.

A campaign to educate the public about the details of the plan will be launched at the conference as well. The plan was approved by the Higher Leadership Committee formed earlier by the Abu Dhabi Police for this purpose, Al Shuaibi said.

The strategy aims to reduce crime by 5 per cent for every 1,000 people.
