0.17gm of marijuana 'too little for sale'
The 0.17 grams of marijuana which were found on a Greek police lieutenant's handbag's outer layer, 'are too little to be sold or consumed', his lawyer told a court yesterday.
The quantity of marijuana which were found in the outer layer of the handbag of 27-year-old Greek, S.F., are considered too little to be peddled, used or even possessed, his lawyer Tarek Al Shamsi, of Dr Habib Al Mulla and Co Advocates and Legal Consultants, told the Dubai Court of First Instance.
The Public Prosecution had charged the defendant with illegally bringing in marijuana and two promazepam capsules for personal use."The Greek Health Ministry prescribed those capsules as medication to our client," says Al Shamsi. A verdict will be heard next month.
