Abu Dhabi: The Egyptian Orthodox Coptic Church in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday offered special prayers on Christmas Eve for the children of Palestine.

The worshippers invoked Almighty God to save the innocent Arab children from the slaughter carried out by Israel.

With candles lit, the worshippers chanted prayers and wished peace would come back to "our lands, save our children and bless the people of Palestine with an independent country."

Warm wishes

In the Christmas mass sermon on Tuesday midnight, Reverend Ishaq Al Anba Bishoy, pastor of Al Anba Antonio Cathedral Church in Abu Dhabi, offered greetings on behalf of Pope Shenouda III, to the leaders of the UAE on the occasion of the New Year.
