Consumers in the UAE urged to replace old gas cylinder valve

Dubai: Regulator valves of all liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders in the country will be replaced with a new exclusive flat top compact valve, in an attempt to enhance consumer safety and on the instruction of the Ministry of Interior.

The new regulator valve, which costs Dh40, has several safety features and consumers are urged to make the change as soon as possible.

“Your current cylinder when empty will be exchanged for a cylinder with a new valve by the distributor,'' said a press statement on Tuesday.
