Dubai is indeed beautiful, with lots of green plants by the roadside. But an overgrown bush which is covering most of the footpath on Al Mankhool Road is indeed a matter of concern.

This does not just create an ugly scene, but there is also danger lurking. I have seen many people walk on the main road to avoid this bush. I myself have been a victim.

On one occasion, I happened to take my toddler in a stroller along the footpath and it proved very difficult for me to walk on it, with the bush protruding halfway.

I had to move the stroller down onto the main road and then after moving a few feet, I had to push the stroller back on path once again.

There are cars and buses speeding down the road at all times and such obstacles make it difficult for pedestrians to walk on the footpath.

It poses a great danger for pedestrians, as the speed with which motorists drive is just unimaginable.

I request the authorities to look into the matter urgently, as it is proving to be a danger and a safety hazard, especially for mothers like me, who have to take their kids around in strollers.
