Cancellation of labour permit can be done at DNRD
Dubai: Labour permit cancellation can be done electronically through the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD) without the need to visit the Ministry of Labour, a senior official said.
Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, Director General of DNRD said on Thursday that starting from next month all transactions related to labour permits cancellation will be done at the DNRD without the need to visit the Ministry of Labour premises or any of its offices.
"One now will need just one step to finish the transaction instead of two, which will be easy for public and for the government," he said.
Faster services
He said transactions between the Ministry and the DNRD will be faster and will facilitate the process of labour permits cancellation.
There are many services which can be done through the e-link between DNRD and the Ministry of Labour and those services are the exchange of the data of the labour permits, sending information from the DNRD to the ministry about those who obtain entry permits and for those who obtain work visa.
Information about the 90-days Mission Visa can also be transferred through the e-link between the Ministry and the DNRD.
The step was welcomed and appreciated by many companies' agents who used to complain about the crowd at the Ministry of Labour headquarters and all its offices.
