The Louvre museum to be built in Abu Dhabi is designed by French architect Jean Nouvel.

The structure includes a web-patterned dome that allows sunlight to filter through, recalling rays passing through date palm fronds in an oasis.

It will host a floor of commemorative galleries dedicated to Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
