Arab Media forum to host around 70 speakers

Dubai: Around 70 speakers and more than 200 guests from outside the UAE will be contributing to the discussions that will be held at the 12th edition of the Arab Media Forum (AMF).

The event, will be held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, on May 14-15, under the theme “Media in Transition”.

The 12th edition of AMF will also allocate a session titled Youth Take the Stage where the current status of young Emirati media professionals will be discussed in relation to the local media sector’s competitiveness in an increasingly tough market.

The AMF will also dedicate a session to deal with the growing phenomenon of satirical media in television and social media, its recession in print media and the new rivalry represented by influential artists featured in media programmes and documentaries.
