Violators involved in illegal recruitment practices will be liable, police say
Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Police warned non-national official residents on Saturday against performing casual work as it is against labour and residency laws.
Several committees have been formed to inspect such illegal activities, with an emphasis on those doing casual work without proper approvals.
The police also pointed out that it has received several complaints from the public that casual workers have increased especially in residential areas outside the city of Abu Dhabi.
“Residents should report such cases immediately to the police to prevent them from displaying their services which might cause dangerous consequences,” said Brigadier General Amir Al Muhairi, Deputy Director General of Police Operations at the General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police.
“Violators of labour recruitment rules, especially with regard to illegal recruitment practices, will be liable,” he said.
The Abu Dhabi Police also requested the public to co-operate with them and report such cases.
