Toddler in intensive hospital care after nearly drowning at beach in Palm Jumeirah
Dubai: A toddler is fighting for his life after nearly drowning on Sunday evening outside his family home on the beach at Palm Jumeirah, police told Gulf News.
The 18-month-old Asian boy is in intensive care at Latifa Hospital.
Police said the boy went alone to the beach while his family members were busy at home.
“The family’s house has a swimming pool inside and it is located in front of the beach but the little boy decided to take a walk to the beach in front of the house to swim and to play.”
Police said the family members spotted him struggling in the sea and ran to rescue him.
“The baby was rushed by ambulance to Latifa Hospital,” police said.
Police said the boy is in a very serious condition.
