Etisalat to offer Samsung S4 4G version from May 12

Dubai: Samsung’s new Galaxy S4 4G LTE smartphone will be available from May 12 in the UAE and etisalat is the exclusive launch partner.

The 3G version will be available across the UAE and with both the telco operators from April 27.

Subscribers can pre-order the 4G device from etisalat from April 25 on its website. The pre-booking for 3G version has already started across the UAE last week.

“We are working with Samsung right now and more details will be unveiled shortly. For the launch, du will only be offering the 3G version,” Yasser Al Yousuf, director for premium personal market at Du, told Gulf News.

The 4G version is priced at Dh2,749 and the 3G version at Dh2,599.

“The new smartphone will provide a unique user experience, particularly as it is rolled out on our 4G LTE network. We are constantly working on launching rich suite of services on this infrastructure and. This partnership, therefore, will enhance productivity and connectivity for our subscribers,” Khaled El Khouly, Chief Marketing Officer at etisalat, said in a statement.

Etisalat is offering 1GB data for three months absolutely free (worth Dh297) with the 4G device and 1GB data free for one month (worth Dh99) with the 3G device.

Customers can get the Samsung Galaxy S4 3G for free by subscribing to du’s 24 month 4GB data plan with any postpaid mobile plan, through the company’s Smartphone Privilege offer.

du’s Easy Payment Plan offers the Galaxy S4 smartphone with 1GB data for only Dh260 per month, or 4GB of data for just Dh320 per month for a full year. The device has the world’s first full HD Super AMOLED display to showcase images at their best and its five-inch large screen has 441pixel density for high quality viewing. It also has a 13 megapixel rear camera and boasts a dual camera function that allows simultaneous use of both front and rear cameras.

The S4’s innovative feature detect your face, voice and motions to enable screen control without the need for finger touch activation apart from S Health, S Translator and Group Play. Group Play allows S4 users to listen to the same song, play games and watch pictures together on different S4 devices.
