Al Qamzy may find the going tough

Abu Dhabi: Khor Fakkan will host the third and fourth rounds of the President's Cup for Formula II Powerboats over Thursday and Friday.

The UAE's ace driver, Thani Al Qamzy, can expect some tough rivalry from drivers of the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Finland, France, Britain, South Africa and Portugal.

Al Qamzy leads the standings after winning the two early rounds, both held in Doha, Qatar, with 40 points with Frenchman Philippe Toure second with 27 points and Ahmad Al Hamly third with 15.

Al Qamzy and Al Hamly are teammates of the Emirates Formula I Powerboats Team, which won the UIM F I World Championship for the teams last year and are expected to compete for the two top places.
