Mohideen Suwaid, Adam de Romas, Aleksa Ilic and Karim Awad booked their places for an appearance at the French Open next week.

At the end of eight months of competition, the three youngsters secured wins in their age categories to earn the right to go and watch their idols at Roland Garros.

The event to decide the winners was the adidas/KLM Junior Tennis Series which concluded at the Aviation Club last week.

The grand prize at the end of eight months of competition was an all expenses paid trip to next week's French Open in Paris.

More than 1000 entrants have played in the event since it started in September last year.

As many as 10 juniors in each event between 10-16 years played the finals at the Aviation Club.

The Under-10 category saw some shock results early with Grace Talih securing two wins in the quarters and semis against the accomplished Pranav Walia and Kirk Rebuyas.

However, she ran into top seed Mohideen Suwaid, who eased his way to a 10-5 win.

The under-12 category was duly won top seed Adam de Romas with an easy 10-4 win.

Aleksa Ilic defeated Hamad Abbas in the under-14 and under-16 finals.

The event was organised by Clark Francis Tennis with sponsorship from KLM, adidas, Aviation Club and Wilson Racquets.

Winners: U-10: Mohideen Suwaid; U-12: Adam de Romas; U-14: Aleksa Ilic; U-16: Aleksa Ilic; Handicap Singles: Karim Awad.
