UAE teen assured of two medals at Asian Under-14 Tennis Championships

Dubai: The UAE’s Fahad Al Janahi was headed towards two medals at the Asian Junior Under-14 Tennis Championships being held in Qatar.

Playing at the Khalifa Tennis Complex of the Qatar Tennis Federation in Doha, Al Janahi first booked his place in the boy’s singles semi-finals and then teamed up with Abdullah Al Ahli to make the last four stage in the doubles.

In the singles semi-final to be played later on Thursday, Al Janahi was scheduled to take on Tamim Hallak of Lebanon while Carlos Chammas of Lebanon was to face Haider Abdaal of Pakistan.

In the doubles semi-finals, Al Janahi and Abdullah Al Ahli of the UAE will play the Lebanese duo of Chammas and Hallak, while Fares Al Janahi of the UAE will team up with Bahrain’s Mohammad Ahmad to take on Pakistan’s Abdaal and Velasquez from the Philippines.
