Adams seals the victory for Pittsburgh with ten seconds left
Toronto: Pascal Dupuis scored two of Pittsburgh’s three goals in the third period as the Penguins stormed back to beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-1 on Thursday, winning their seventh NHL game in a row.
Marc-Andre Fleury made 28 saves for Pittsburgh, which defeated the Maple Leafs in a shootout in Toronto five days earlier. Craig Adams sealed this win by scoring into an empty net with 10 seconds left.
Tied 1-1 in the third, Chris Kunitz fed Dupuis in the slot for a shot that beat Scrivens and found the top corner with 2:10 left in regulation.
Tyler Bozak had the lone goal for Toronto, which has dropped four in a row.
Tuukka Rask made 29 saves and Patrice Bergeron scored two goals to help the Boston Bruins beat the Florida Panthers 4-1.
Boston won for the 10th time in 13 games. The Bruins haven’t lost consecutive games in regulation since March 2012.
Rask improved to 14-2-3 on the season and 6-1 in his career against Florida with a 0.99 goals-against average.
In Columbus, Ohio, Patrick Kane set up Johnny Oduya’s goal in the second period and then netted the decisive score in the shootout to lead the Chicago Blackhawks over the Blue Jackets 2-1.
Corey Crawford stopped 29 shots to help the Blackhawks end a two-game losing streak after they set an NHL record by getting at least a point in each of their first 24 games.
Evgeni Nabokov made 18 saves for his second shutout this season and 54th overall in the NHL as the New York Islanders beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-0.
John Tavares had a power-play goal in the second period and Brad Boyes added an empty-net goal in the final minute of play for New York.
The Winnipeg Jets beat New York’s other team, the Rangers, 3-1, to maintain their two-game lead for the last spot in the NHL Eastern Conference playoff race.
Nik Antropov scored the game’s first goal, Antti Miettinen had his first goal of the season, and Andrew Ladd added an empty-netter with 39 seconds left for Winnipeg.
Mike Ribeiro scored with 2:16 remaining as the Washington Capitals rallied to beat the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2.

Rookie Jake Allen earned his first NHL shutout with 28 saves as the St. Louis Blues topped the Phoenix Coyotes 3-0.
Chris Stewart scored twice and added an assist for the Blues, who have won four of five overall. Alexander Steen, who missed eight games with a shoulder injury, had a goal and two assists.
At St Paul, Minnesota, rookie defenceman Jonas Brodin’s first NHL score highlighted a three-goal second period by the Wild in a 5-3 victory against Colorado.
Devin Setoguchi and Mikko Koivu also scored in the decisive middle frame. Koivu added an empty-net goal with 33 seconds remaining.
Ryan Getzlaf scored in the third round of the shootout and Jonas Hiller made 33 saves to lead the Anaheim Ducks past the Dallas Stars 2-1.
Andrew Cogliano scored in regulation for Anaheim, which has won five in a row. Bobby Ryan also scored in the shootout, and Hiller denied both Dallas shooters he faced.
In Vancouver, British Columbia, Andrew Ebbett and Jannik Hansen both had a goal and two assists as the Canucks beat the Nashville Predators 7-4.
Alex Edler, Mason Raymond, Max Lapierre and Henrik Sedin scored on penalty shots and David Booth added an empty netter for the Canucks, who won their second straight. Roberto Luongo finished with 29 saves.
