Abu Dhabi: Konrad Motorsport's Jeroen Bleekmolen successfully defended his leadership at the top of the standings with a fine win in the second race of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup yesterday.

In fact it was Rast finishing ahead of Bleekmolen and Westbrook. But owing to a race violation during the second half of the competition Rast had to sacrifice a position, thus handing over the day's honours to Bleekmolen for his second podium last weekend. Rast had won the first of two races here on Saturday, leaving Bleekmolen in third.

The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup has been supporting the FIA Formula One World Championship since 1993. It is a professional and high-ranking race series, which is firmly established and enjoys appreciation with insiders and the public alike.

RESULTS

1. Jeroen Bleekmolen (Konrad Motorsport); 2. Rene Rast (Veltins MRS Racing); 3. Richard Westbrook (Porsche Cars Great Britain); 4. Damien Faulkner (Walter Lechner Racing School); 5. Alessandro Balzan (Ebimotors).
